Photographing Artwork
2D (Day 1) and/or 3D (Day 2)
Documenting artwork is an essential process for artists working in any medium. The quality of your reproduction can make the difference between a sale, impressing the right gallery or getting into an exhibit. To make a good reproduction of your art you must eliminate distortion and glare, show accurate color and hold onto every iota of detail. In addition, the angle of your shot, the detail versus the overall view, and your decision-making process for which piece best shows off your works are all important. Your instructor will cover critical photographic techniques for producing high qulaity slides and/or digital photographs of 2D & 3D works photography, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry and mixed media of all kinds. Artists working in all media are welcome. Take just one day or sign up for both!
