RANDY BROWN
RANDY BROWN is a Denver based artist and passionate arts activist who has been participating in the Colorado arts community for the last twenty years. Working in photographic, paint, and print media, his abstract figurative work has at its core an examination of balance, the balance that each of us seeks in our efforts to create harmony in our lives. Using himself and those with whom he interacts as his source for narratives, Randy's images explore emotional and physical processes to reveal that we are more alike than different.

In the arts community, Randy has served on the Board of Directors of The Invisible Museum and as a member of the Editorial Board, Production Manager and Contributor for Eye-Level Magazine. As an instructor for Working with Artists, Randy leads photographic workshops in Minimalism, Natural Light Portraiture, and Symbolism/Mysticism, among others.

Randy's work is in the collection of the Denver Art Museum, Invesco Funds, MONY, 360 Network, McData Corp., IXL Corp., Ernst & Young, TIAA-CREF, Sue Cannon, Mark Senn, and Charles Hamlin among others. He has received arts fellowships from The MacDowell Colony, Villa Montalvo, and a MacArthur Foundation grant for materials and travel while in residence at The MacDowell Colony.
