Lakewood Sentinel: Taking Pictures without a Camera
TBA Summer 2010
Sunny Shooters!
Ages 5-10

Hours 1-3p | $35

Can you make a picture without a camera? Of course you can! With a little sunshine and a lot of creative juice you can generate great photoART! Using special paper, a little water and found objects we'll spend the morning making lasting images you can take home.

Bring your favorite flat objects from home, all other materials are provided.

TBA Summer 2010
Imaginary Friend

Ages 7-13

Hours 1-3p | $35

Use photography as a way to tell a story about something you conjure up! Imagination is key here as you have to make images that describe a creature no one else can see! Does he live in the Swiss Alps? Collect stamps? Does she eat worms/blueberries/rocks? Only you know. And only you can tell the story! Bring your own digital camera or let us loan one to you for the afternoon.

TBA Summer 2010
A-B-C Photography

Ages 5-10

Hours 1-3p | $35

Alphabet Game: Go through the alphabet and make a photograph for each letter. "A" could be apple but it could also be action, abstract, Alejandra, Alabama or Achoo! There is no limit to the creativity in this game and we'll explore it to the max! Bring your own digital camera or let us loan one to you for the afternoon.

TBA Summer 2010
Show N' Tell

Ages 5-10

Hours 1-3p | $35

Bring in an object that you've had for quite some time, something easy to carry. We'll take a few minutes to write about your object: where you got it, why it's important to you, describe its texture, what colors is it? Shapes? Size? Then photograph it to tell us its story. Don't tell us the story, let us guess! Bring your own digital camera or let us loan one to you for the afternoon.
TBA Summer 2010
Texture-ocious!

Ages 7-13

Hours 1-3p | $35

Squishy, spikey, rubbery, fluffy. Your job is to make texture VISIBLE. After feeling unknown objects in a box you'll have to use verbal clues to help your fellow artists make photographs to match that description. Will your images look like the object you felt? Can you tell how something feels without havine touched it in the first place? We'll find out in this class! Bring your own digital camera or let us loan one to you for the afternoon.
