Building on the fundamentals learned in Flash I, this class explores the vast possibilities in mixing the light from a portable, “hot-shoe mount” strobe with a second (or third) light source (additional portable strobe units or ambient lighting). We’ll also get into light modifiers like umbrellas and colored gels, and investigate the myriad options for synchronizing multiple flash units. Our focus is on lightweight systems that (apart from an umbrella) can be carried in your camera bag.
NOTE: To take this class, you should be familiar with the relationships between f/stop, shutter speed and ISO for setting ambient (non-flash) exposures.
