Your workshop is scheduled to take place on a private estate of a well known art collector, about 15 minutes from the WWA studios. This expansive location offers groomed and wild gardens, majestic trees, Spanish style porticos and center patio, stuccoed walls with beautifully aged wooden doors and archways, brick pathways and rock gardens, softly lit living spaces full of contemporary art, a lake and boathouse. The grounds offer privacy, natural surroundings and a comfortable environment rain or shine. This elegant location for th Elegant Nude offers photographic opportunities from serenely simple and formal, to complex and lots of surrounding beauty. Your models are beautiful professionals who have worked with our school frequently and who enjoy modeling for fine art photographers. OWEN O'MEARA, FINE ARTIST
Owen is a Denver native whose studies in photography have taken him from landscape to the nude, with guidance from artists such as Ruth Bernhard and Brett and Kim Weston. Owen's work has been exhibited in galleries in Seattle WA, Carmel CA, Houston TX, and Denver CO. Owen's major influences have been Bernhard, the Westons, Eikoh Hosoe and Helmut Newton and many others. He is currently represented in Denver by Robischon Gallery. DAVE GASLIN, PHOTOGRAPHER, LIGHTING GURU
Dave Gaslin is a music editorial and fashion photographer based in Denver, CO. After graduating from the Art Institute of Colorado, Dave has gone on to photograph some of the country’s biggest musicians and to create and collaborate on national and international ad campaigns for recording artists on major record labels. PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
This is an indepth, hands on workshop for beginning to advanced photographers who enjoy creating elegant images of the female nude. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are seeking to refine their vision, composition, and lighting techniques, or for those who want to explore working with the figure. Artists nationwide gather to learn Master techniques of photographing the form with Owen O'Meara while supplementing their knowledge of natural, indoor ambient and studio lighting with Dave Gaslin. Artists working with all formats, digital or fim are welcome.
